I am just one settlement away from finishing my first campaign, playing as the Carthaginians. I have only to take Sidon and I sould have completed my victory conditions.

However, having purchased Sidon from the Seleucids nothing happens. I own all the other territories I need to and a also occupy the territories I need to raid. Do you need to take your final settlement by force (got a veteran army of Libyans waiting off the coast in case) or am I doing something very wrong?

Not entierly sure but I think you may need to take the settlement by force. Also check that you have every territory, the maps are wrong but check the advisor information; although I think you would already know this. Nothing else I can say to help. Too bad.

Am I right in thinking a scroll will appear to inform me when I have completed my victory conditions?

Press the question mark in the top right corner of the scroll and the territories you need should be marked :)

After you got the listed territories, you should receive the victory message the following turn.

Figured it out! Your right Blxz the map is wrong, just started a new campaign and clicked on the ? button (map not crowded at start of new campaign so easier to see) and it turns out Kyrene is missing from my empire, which is good that it explains the mystery but bad as I don't have an army anywhere near the damn place to take it.... this campaign may take longer than I expected.

Thanks for the help everyone! To Kyrene my loyal Iberian and Libyan subjects!

I love being right, even partially.
