Will Pontos have their own elite cavalry in eb2?

It can be recruited in Karthiokherta(sp?), Edessa, and, iirc, in Phraaspa ( perhaps in some other Iranian lands, don´t remember exactly ). But you´d need at least lvl.4 ( perhaps even lvl 5 ) factional barracks to be able to hire them. The problem is, they are not available in Amaseia, or the regions around, when you actually need them, but i figured that Cappadocian Mediums can be quite usefull, and you´ve got your heavy chariots, in case you need some shock cavalry.

Wrong, the Khuveshavagane Shahvar is the elite cavalry of the old Persian satrapies, and they are not regional units (though they are available for other factions if they develop them as type IV or type III govs). They are shared by Pontos and Hayasdan. I didn't work on recruitment for Pontos, but they should have been available in Amaseia for Pontos (but then Pontos has rather wierd recruitment and so that may be a choice).

I have no idea. That unit has not been proposed, but if there is evidence for such a military force in the armies of Pontos then I imagine that it shall be discussed internally.

For the little I know Pontos relied a lot on Galatians and Cappadocians, the family member unit (march of time one) is good enough imo...

They actually become weaker with the march of time, being lighter. Of course, that does mean they have better stamina...

They also relied much on Sarmatians and Scythians, and especially Sarmatians were some pretty heavy dudes...

They do, they are called "Khuveshavagane Shahvar". I don't really know what else to say. If you are requesting that this unit only be available for Pontos then you don't really understand the limitations that we are under. We can only have 500 units for EBII, that means that where we don't need to create separate units we won't. I'm sorry if you feel that this is not good enough, but that is the way it is.

Khuveshavagane Shahvar is general unit not normal cavalry like Hellenikoi Kataphraktoi or etc.

He meant the Khuveshavagan, which are basically identical to Khuveshavagane Shahvar but can be recruited normally like any other cavalry.

actually I'm not sure, but they can not win a battle which against Hellenikoi Kataphraktoi or Parthian cataphracts or any other elite cavalry units. also all eastern faction can recruit them

they are elite, they even have this funny tag "elite" in the unit list ^^

just because some quality(yet not elite) units have 13 or more moral that does not mean elite units need 15 or 16. they actually start at 13, bodyguards have 16. from a eastern roleplay pow every cavalry unit thats heavier than eastern light cavalry(so HA, SR, and mounted skirmishers) can be considered elite. even those near useless medium cav units similar to greek hippeis actually are sort of elite when you compare them to the average man in the street. in the west(and arabia) even some of the REALLY light cavalry units could be considered "elite". Kinsmen on the other hand have a underhand lance lammelar armor and armored horsies still they are somewhat outdated which is shown by some shortcomeings. I don't think there is any ancient civilisation where a fully armored man on an armored horse would not be seen as an elite warrior(or more)

sure they are not as elitary as the grivpanvar, the spartan Hoplites, the chaonians, the armored royal guard, the Ischyroi Orditon, the pretorians or the sacred band and even somewhat crappy compared to them BUT used against normal units they really stand out.

Why should they? Cataphracts are the ultimate in heavy cavalry, they should beat almost all others in combat.

Your whole argument seems to be that you just think Pontos should have a unique cavalry unit that can beat everything else in the game, you haven't actually explained why they should have one.

If you really want to see a unique Pontic elite cavalry, do some research, find mentions of them in historical sources, find out what their equipment would be etc, and then post it all here so we can read it.

You already gave them that unit, its called a Scythed Chariot. 1 Hit Kill on any horse that touches the wheels.
