Alliances in the ex pack

I know that alliances obviously will not exist in the Mongol invasion portion of the ex pack, but in what ways are alliances going to be improved in the normal camapaign?
Also, will these improvments be inherant in the ex pack, or in the new patch?

I am not sure on this but from what I remember it could be asking another clan to have a joint attack in a province. I could just be totally imagining this though.

No ally ever walked into the throne room to help seat his partner's fat rump on the throne! So it will be the same as always... first to the throne wins, all else are rotten eggs!

Perhaps there will be some new social pleasantries... but that is all. Like the new 'sipping tea in The Garden of Good and Evil'... Basically, they will just smile when they cut your head off!

If i remember correctly, they are supposed to have tweaked things a bit for more 3 way battles and your Emissary will be able to bribe ronin armies to join you.
