So who here is actually happy for Valentines day? For me it's kinda bittersweet I guess. Anyone else gonna have another V-day totally isolated from partners of the opposite sex?
Care to share opinions on V-day? general discussion I guess. go.
I have to work on Valentine's day  I was gonna ask this girl if she wanted to do something for valentine's day, but when I asked her what she was doing this week she told me she has 4 tests she has to take so I didn't bother.
I despise Valentine's Day. It's a load of nonsense.

I could go on and on about how much I love my wife and prove it on a daily basis, but the fact of the matter is for a minimal cost of a box of chocolates, a bouquet of flowers, and a romantic night on the town... the investment usually pays in dividends.

Nothing will happen if I stay home. I'm going to the movies and borrow some DVDs as well.
Hopefully I can pick up a few chocolates on the way.
I bought me self 58 yen chocolate bar just in case nothing happens.
The girls give chocolate to guys on valentines. Its a huge event over here.

My grade decorated our lounge in school in white/pink/red to the point that its noxious, but other than that, nothing.
I might get a few chocolates from a few girls though. Doubt it, we're all slaving over a huge paper thats due tomorrow so no time to think about such a petty thing like love.
At least until this paper is due.
I despise Valentine's Day. It's a load of nonsense.
amen to that. It's just an abomination designed to rub it into people who aren't in a relationship.:furious3:

Most men don't care much for the holiday, and your wife/girlfriend/sexfriend might tell you it's not necessary to get them flowers, chocolates, and that card. Don't believe that line for a minute. If the relationship means anything to you then make the effort and show that you care. I had the roses sent to her office at the VA Hospital today so ALL her work friends could see what a lucky gal she is: BONUS POINTS.
Take it from Wakizashi:

I gave a girl a book last week, that's the Geek equivilent of flowers but she didn't seem to bite. Dunno.
Hate the holiday regardless, baaaaaad memories.

Something weird happened. There was something in the breeze before noon, dunno what. Whatever it was, I don't despise this day anymore.

I would have linked you to an enyclopedia dramatica article as a response, but the images that resulted from searching for it were so disturbing, I decided not to. :clown:
personally, my sig should be a clue to what I'm bitter over....it isn't the singleness itself that leaves me miffed. its the :furious3: idea that I could be enjoying it, had I not messed that one up.

V-Day was good. Pretty much the exact opposite of Z-Day.
