Hey guys, I got this problem with MS word 2010 that I can't find the solution to anywhere, I really don't know where else to ask.

For some reason word 2010 tell me it won't start because 'the internet connection is lost' but I have broadband so I should be connected all the time, it really starting to bug me cause work is piling up because I can't use it.

So if you guys know what is wrong, please help and if you need more info, just ask and I'll tell you anything else you need to know.

See if either of the solutions put forward here (http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/officeinstall/thread/ee1d0179-07c2-4762-b1d7-ae2e80c89bd9) are useful.

Yeah, I've already looked at all that before posting here, it doesn't seem to have anything about solving the problem.

Sorry to neglect you Xehh. Could you give a little more detail about the error? I was not aware that Office 2010 needed to talk to the Internet just to start up. Was it working previously? Is this an initial install issue? A little more background might be helpful ...

Hey guys, sorry I took a very long time to get back to you, you may have heard about the christchurch earthquake? I was in that and I got screwed by it.

But to answer your question, it's a new computer I just got a couple of weeks before my first post, there's really not else much to say, it's a new bought computer with broadband internet and MS Word '10 just won't work, sorry I can't be more helpful on that.

An activation is required maybe ?

I have not seen anything anywhere that says anything about activation, is this normal for word 10? How do I go about this activation thing?
