Hi,
Is there any way to choose the 16 units that you take into battle and select the next units to appear? How do I send someones emissary back without the rest of the body - just the head? And why do I loose some men at the beginning of a fight when they are not in range - or have no ranged units? Heart attacks? I thought the Japanese diet was pretty good.

Thanks in advance.

Kiwi,

As far as I know, when you send in an army of more than 16 units, you don't choose the order they appear on the battlefield. Maybe it has to do with which groups you drop on the province first. Anyone know?

If your ranged units are firing, friendly casualties occur randomly. If the enemy is firing at one of your units, a unit which is to the back or side of the unit being targetted can take some stray fire, especially on hillsides.

Hope that helps.

Why did you bring 16 Female Ashigaru? Keep clicking weather, they're only strong one week a month.

It's the first 16 units you drop into a province when you invade. Hence before you invade you should make sure you stack hte units you want dployed togehter and put them in first.I htink reinforcements come in in some sort of order, something like cav first, then archers then infantry, but don't quote me on that.

Thanks for that, but what if you are defending? It could not be that hard for them to give you a list of all your units and then ask for the first 16 and then the order that you want reserves to arrive?

How do you take an emissary's head off?

I'll be the one to tell you the bad news. It's not possible. Quite a shame and the subject of a few topics.

Vanya suggests you ask Krast for an audience. Krast is the expert when it comes to head removals. If he can't tell you, no one can!

I'd tell you, but as I am the Headless Horseman... my opinion might be jaded by my lack of a head!

After your 16 unit army,I believe your reinforcements appear in the order you moved them into the province. If you moved the reinforcements in a stack, then I think the highest honor units are deployed as reinforcements first.

Could be wrong here but I thought (after playing several battles) that the reinforcements appeared in value order then size order ie. you get the best troop units first and the smallest or weakest types last.
