Hi there,
I am changing my Macedon faction in to an Athens faction, and i would like to know how to chage the capital from Thesalonica to Athens. I know how to do it ingame, but of course the computer is not going tho change the capital to Athens when i'm playing as another faction (like Britons)... Does somebody know?

hello kajob09, welcome to the org enjoy your stay.

One way would be to use the switch faction cheat, but i've tried it multiple times and it never worked - neither did i know of anyone who has used it sccesfully although it is listed in the cheats lists in various sites.

Another way to do it, if you are playing from the beggining of the game would be to go to the startin positions txt that settlements and armies are declared and change that there. Bear in mind that i've never attempted this myself and so its just a hint/idea.

The startpos txt should be if memory serves in Campaigns\Imperial campaign and in there there are many txt's and one of them has the starting positions. I cannot remember the exact name of the file and unfortunately i can;t check as i don;t have the game installed, but i'm certain its there.

Another place to ask is the Europa Brabarorum forum here at the org - it has many knowledgeable players and the mod's creator's of course and someone should know how to answer more in detail.

Good luck! :)

I've done it! In the descr_strat.txt you have to put the region with the city you want as capital under the stuff: Macedon Fortified Napoleon" someting like that..
Thnks for the help Gollum!

MAKE BACK UP COPIES OF THE ORIGINAL TEXT IN CASE SOMETHING GOES HORRIBLY WRONG.

I cannot stress this enough. Modding rule #1

Of course! It's a great fealing to try out your mod and you gat a CTD, you only have to do ctrl+c and crtl+v in a txt. file. Really your only concern is you have to start RTW again..!

That has happened to me a few times. Anyways, lesson learned. You never know exactly what will screw you up sometimes
