View Full Version : About : Seems to be a great historical movie.
Common guys, this goes too far. your sens of humour is as open as your minds. It was a bit of fun and you immediatly scream TROLL. Raise your nose from your books and laugh a bit. I'm totally against the closing of that thread. not everything is to be historical! As soon as a movie isn't as accurate as an archeological documentary you jump saying that ahistorical bullocks is crappy. Common guys, open your minds!
ziegenpenter, I support you! your vid was hillarious! I'm lookin for the movie right now!

The thread was not closed because of a non-historical film or whats-so-ever, the thread was closed because of trolling, complete meaningless pictures and their associated comments.
A discussion about such a film is welcome, but trolls are not.

As I wrote, I couldn't view the video at the time. The thread was closed in response to the comments, not the video. After viewing it, I agree the comments calling "troll" were over the top. But given the "troll" and spammy comments I doubt the tone of the thread would have improved.
Funny threads are OK, but this is not the .Org's OT forum (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?48-Frontroom).
I understand, though wouldn't it be more fair to delete the bad comments and let the thread go on?

As the OP I'd like to share my 2cents with you:
It was never my intention to troll anyone, I just think that its not necessary to point out that somthing is meant in a humerous way by putting smiley emoticon all over the post

I agree in principle, but since half the replies were either spam or calling troll I'd say the thread was beyond repair.

Indeed, but I am sometimes surprised at how badly humour translates across the internet.

Maybe I should have taken that into account, and I apologize, but I figure it was more the overall development of hte thread which got it closed.

Since the majority of all the posts in this forum is about the single player campaign and some issues about the AI/roleplaying which is rather irrelevent to the gameplay/tactics itself, then it is my humble opinion that a post like this makes as equal much sense as the other ones.
For the AI is a fiction and the characters in the gladiatress movie are also a fiction - no need to take fiction seriously at all.
Maybe I should have taken that into account, and I apologize, but I figure it was more the overall development of hte thread which got it closed.
It was, so no need to apologize to me.
