Do you think they look professional, or kind of thuggish?
I got my usual haircut today, number 2 at the back and sides and keeping it short on top as well. I think it looks pretty good, and one of the family friends that was hanging out in the house said hey looking smart with your haircut.
But my mum think it makes me look like a convict. The thing is I was thinking of getting a 1 at the back in sides in future, which would be almost a skinhead look (but not a skinhead, and don't try to tie that to anything I've said in the Backroom recently :tongue2:).
It just made me think because my life will change a lot when I leave Uni, and I will need to present myself differently. I'll need to look suitable for a respectable work environment. Plus I guess on the social scene I might have to act more maturely and stop hanging out in local streets and parks in my trademark tracksuit trousers with football top.
I guess I can see both sides of the picture. Short haircuts look tidy, not like longer messy ones IMO. But for some reason it is seen as more respectable to have at least more average lengths.
My dad works in an office environment and he gets the 2 back and sides like me, but he does let it grow longer in between. I guess it can make you look a bit rough since if you don't shave for a few days you will have more facial than head hair.
Thoughts?
