Heading toward release I was really afraid that hero units would get spammed - but in over two weeks of gameplay i've only seen two through multiple campaigns. The Oda had a Katana Hero in their army during the third and fourth battles of Osaka during my Chokosabe campaign.

They blew through three units of Nagitana Monks in each encounter... :sweatdrop:

I haven't seen one yet either, just starting my second campaign...

I think they are recruitable with the legendary dojos? With a cap for one of each type for the player. I've heard reports of the AI being able to spam them though.

Looking at the enclyopedia, it sounds worthwhile making a beeline for some of those ultimate buildings - the first player to build one can pick up some very nice bonuses.

In my current Shimazu campaign, Tokugawa built both the legendary Bajutsu school and the Kyudu school. He's running around with a halfstack with two bow heroes in it near my borders right now. He's had it for a long time now though, I'm just now sending a fleet over to the region where he built both of them =)

I wish. My pc died updating IE 8 about 6 weeks ago. Also finishing up a contract. So looking for work & looking at building a new PC that can handle STW2.

Had no idea what happened to Tosa :(. Brought tears to my eyes when I found out a couple of hours ago.
