Hi there,
Does anybody know what the uniforms of the french infantry of the line (fusiliers, grenadiers and voltigeurs) looked like in 1813. I'm asking this because theres a lot of information on unifroms before 1813 and the uniforms during the 100 days but what about the uniform of french troops in 1813. Was the unifrom basically the same as the 1812 uniform?

My other question is about the colours of the unifroms during 1813. I know that most French line regiments used the blue and white uniforms colours often seen but did any French (raised in France not allied states) line regiments wear any different colours on there uniforms instead of the blue and white?

Thanks for reading my question and any replies.:2thumbsup:

AFAIK they used the 1812 uniform until the end, although some Marie-Louises just got a greatcoat and cap. But it might have taken some time before all regiments actually received it.

I think some regiments just had minor variations of the 1812 uniform so the general colour scheme was the same. But not 100% sure on that one.

Thanks for the help CBR,
I doubted there would be much significant change after 1812 due to the chaos of the following few years but its hard to be sure. And thanks for the help with the colours, its much appreciated.
