Problem downloading EB.

I've tried downloading EB 1.1 like 4 times from different sites and every-time it finishes it just disappears and I can't find the file wtf? Very frustrating.:furious3:

click start on your windows and do a search on eb1.1 if nor before you download pick work enviroment as the download location thats what i do and then create a folder

Yeah I searched for it and all I find is EB 1.2. I'm going to try work enviroment and see if that works. thnx

eb1.2 only works with eb1.1 and not separatly i heard but can´t be sure

You are correct, you need to install E1.1 before you install EB1.2.

Follow the guide (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?80270-A-guide-to-install-EB-screenshots-provided), it's very good.

Open your browser settings and look for the default location of your downloads.

I always made sure to download it to my desktop. A couple times I changed the location but that didn't work either. It did download when I clicked run instead of save, but then I frigged up the installation:dizzy2: I have vista and I think there is some kind of quirk I forgot about. So now I'll engage in probably my 7th or 8th attempt to download and install this friggon thing.

Which browser are you using?
Personally I use Firefox or Opera, and I never get this kind of problem, maybe you want to try it with them (they exist also as portable apps, just google them).

I'm using IE but I finnally got it to download :beam:

I ran IE as administrator and that seemingly did the trick. I think windows defender thinks the download is a pop-up or spyware or something. I sat there actually watched the download countdown to zero once it was around 90% lol.

Now I just have to install it right...

It offers more detailed options to customize the game, you can install it either into RTW, EB or Program Files that should not matter.
If you are using Vista/Win7 don't install EB into Program Files.

I tried installing RTW into VistaOS (C:)/Users/Username

But I'm still getting trivial script error when I try to open Single Player

My RTW version is 1.5, so I know it's not that.

Then just create a new shortcut to RomeTW.exe and edit the target line by adding: -mod:eb -show_err -ne to its end.
