Have you noticed that most of our muslim posters seem to express regret or a decided lack of relief about this? Coincidently, the three muslims in my class were going on about how they are disgusted by how happy people are over something so regrettable.

You're making quite some assumptions from a regret or lack of relief (which may not be related to the fact that he was a "Muslim") to that terrorism might be more prevalent or popular under "mainstream" Muslims as is commonly thought.

I am within the bounds of proper behaviour and the fact that the Org's administration prevents me from being too colourful in my choice of words, but frankly, I am appalled and disgusted by the words of the original poster and severely disappointed that a reasonably intelligent fellow like yourself makes such preposterous statements based on neither academic research nor on personal experience. I hope he would make at least some effort to get a basic knowledge of geopolitics and religion in the Middle East.

Exactly what I was wondering. I worry about whether Vuk is engaging in some kind of religious profiling. It also leaves me unsure whether there are actually any Muslims in his class, or whether he is making assumptions there as well.

To this thread I reply,

The World Trade Center Buildings were destroyed on September 11th of 2001. Over 3000 innocent people were killed as a result. Some Muslim peoples in the world were dancing in the streets over this, IE. some were very happy. It was not the act of a legitimate government of any Muslim nation, but the premeditated act of a few murderous radicals, deluded by this man, who were mostly citizens of Saudi Arabia, which has done little to help track them down. While I do not rejoice at the death of anyone, because we are all children of God (aka: Allah), I feel very little sympathy for the wealthy Bin Laden family, who did such a poor job in raising their son that he became a psychopath, an outlaw, and a murderer. I pray that God will reveal this error to the Muslim world, and that someday, they will be able to renounce such members of their society.
