What about seeing if you can get a job and do a part time masters or summit, going on to postgraduate sounds cool an all till you come out and the interviewer goes "oh shame you went so specialised your too educated for us now blah blah".

Plus if you were workin at summit and say finished a part time masters in a couple of yrs you have work experience and papers unlike the fella stayed in academia.

1. Is renting worth it? I am feeling a bit impatient to move out...
2. Do you really need to dive straight into a career.

Q1:It can be IF it is the right price an all, if you plump for a gaff then you committing to puting some roots down and you dunno where your career could take you though.

Q2 Well it is no harm lets put it that way, if you start a masters and cop halfway through that it was not for your it may be a question that puts you down a notch in interview stakes however if you start a job and decide later it's not for you and you would rather the masters then experience stands to you after you come back out.

To be honest though i think you made your decision already your merely looking for us to agree with you, remember there is no real right or wrong decision.

It's fine you can always blame the tough economy as the reason you didn't get work even though you really did it to be able to stay home and watch countdown

One thing about low wage jobs is that there a great breeding ground for a later high flying career, for example mate of mine worked in supermarket when we were back in national school (the law was bit laxer then) now he runs his own supermarket.

Maybe you should apply for an aussie visa and go on working holiday craic agus ceoil and bit a money for spreadin around cant beat it.

Hello.

You answered your own question.

You do not want to study.

You want to move out.

So:

Rent that place, keep working fast food until you feel ready to find a job, then find a job and work.

Welcome to world. :nodhead:
