..or how to cause a rebellion in an own province? I think about stable, long owned province which doesn't want to revolt even with max taxes and no units inside.

- Inquisition is not an option for all.
- destroying own buildings?
- a very bad governor

any other ideas? The goal is to get as huge rebel forces as possible :sneaky:.

All that springs to mind is moving your king as far away as possible and removing all your forces from that province. I think that destroying buildings only helps if they are loyalty boosting buildings.

That's about all you can do. Get the King to the opposite side of the map, destroy all the town watch buildings, churches and watchtowers, remove troops, set taxes to max.
On a strategic level, be excommunicated and have a really big empire, that should lower loyalty in all your provinces and help the rebellion in that desired province.

The king on the other side of the map involves cutting off the ship lines as well. 0 dread governour with high/low piety depending on the province zeal (high zeal provinces doesn't like low piety governours and reversed).

If your empire is big, then attacking with your king or stuck him on Ireland without naval contact works well on a empire level, but doing that makes the question more of what provinces you don't want to rebel, and garnison them properly.

So you're not going for "Stazi the Benevolent", then? :surprised:

How to make people angry?

Besides what already been said by the others, you can develop especially unpopular governors with popularity penalties to some -50% by just executing rebels over and over again (in within his province). I think that would count here. Scotland and Portugal for instance are good provinces for such purposes – in raw MTW (Redux has a lot more instability all over the map).

Then there are various random vices with some -20-30% popularity penalties as well.

So in theory and some effort it is very possible to appoint governors with up -70% or -80% popularity penalties and that would probably make the populous angry enough I think….

However, in extreme theory it is actually possible to get as low as -110% or -120% happiness if we throw in a “Assassinator” vice as well (attainable by some 6 failed Spy-trials on the same general). Still I wonder if that is truly useful as his loyalty will be 0 as a result (some -11 loyalty in total I think). Now that should make even the usually gentle populous of raw MTW raving mad - no matter what…
