So I just finished my first year and have a situation that makes my stomach ache. Earlier in the year I lost a 500 dollar Seiko diver's watch which was a gift for graduation. Not sure how I had lost it either on an ROTC thing or in a drunken shenanigan either way it was missing. So just recently (within last two weeks) I bought another one for 371 dollars before I made my parents sick to their stomachs for their careless son who lost valuable gifts.

That went fine and while obviously sickened at having to spend the money I dealt with it and got my "new" watch. Then today while cleaning out my room I discovered an interesting item behind my bookshelf........ the missing watch. How did I miss it you ask? Poor searching abilities obviously and the act it was behind the bookcase under a magazine all underneath the overhang of the heater.

My question is what the F should I do. Obviously sell it but I am not really sure how. If anything I will sell the brand new one because my other one has a little scratch from a diving trip where I hit it badly on a rock. Hell, I am just not sure where or how to sell it. Can anyone help? Heck I will even sell it to someone here for 300 or so.

It is this one. Not a sissy or even dressy watch.

are they identical? if so sell the one with the scratch if you are going to be more careful with the unharmed one. if you want to get back your money, sell the new one or return it to the shop, has the warranty finished yet? if theyre not identical keep the one your parents gave you.

its funny how finding out that you didnt lose the watch actually made you feel worse then when you thought you lost it... ironic.

btw did you finish with good grades? if so, congratz mate :P

Give it to your Dad for Father's Day.

This is the closest the frontroom has seen to wisdom for years.

Not right away, but later on after college when you're on your own. Tell your Dad the story behind that watch you gave him for Father's Day. You'll both get a laugh and he'll appreciate that watch even more.

Yall don't know my father. It would not be appreciated if he knew I lost the watch.

And yet you were resourceful enough to find it again...
