Just some announced factions from the previews that we can play in custom battles... That would be more than enough for me until EB2 finally is released! ~:)

Has the team announced having all units made for any of the new factions? If not why would they let unfinished work out of their hands?
I believe that everyone would love to play custom battles with even unfinished unit rosters, but considering that team has announced gaza campaign as a sort of demo I find it unlikely that they would also release custom battles demo before it.
I understand completely the teams decision to release eb2 as complete as possible instead of tiny bits, this way the developers will have free hands in designing the mod whereas the other option would likely result in some fans complaining about bugs and such. That would harm the mod killing the hype which is bound to come when it is finally released.

I didn't know that the team have announced Gaza campaign.. That is a good news!
Edit: I mean announced as that they release it as sort of a demo..

Calling it sort of a demo is my perception, I don't know what expression the team uses of it. Preview says that the gaza campaign will introduce players to eb2's mechanics/features so I'd say demo is correct expression.
It's a tutorial campaign set in 312 BC which after the tutorial finishes allows the player to continue the mini campaign. It will feature only a select number of units and the campaign is only a very smal part of the great singleplayer campaign. Custom battles with only a few factions and a select number of units will probably be included as well. It will indeed introduce players to a few of the new mechanics that will make the final EB II such a different and more complex game.
It will be released when it's done.

Yes of course. All the factions we have shown in previews will be in first release.
now that's good news, I always was a bit irritated because most of the previewed Factions were not at all likely candidates for the Gaza Campaign^^ - thus not beeing able to test those units in the demo first release.

Well the factions like Sweboz and such will probably only be there in custom battles. Would be nice for multiplayer though to keep us busy ;).

I'm afraid that's not what Moros meant, I think. With 'the first release' he probably means the first full release with most factions on the full campaign map.
you sure about that,? it sounds like an awfull waste, afterall most ofthem seem ready for costom battles. I'd like to have that confirmed by Gustave! or an other member of the Team... please.

So no, but the term 'first release' is used most of the time to describe the first full release.

The Gaza Campaign is not the first release of EB2, it is the tutorial. The first release of EB2 will be on the full map.

hmmm, so there will be no ... sweboz in costom battle mode, in the Tutorial?
Indeed. Might add them in later though.
thank you moros, finaly a clear answer!
