Europa Barbarorum campaign problems

I have Rome Total War Gold edition on my mac, which i have from the mac app store. Feral interactive has recently provided the public with a program to make their version of RTW Mod-able, and install a couple of basic and popular mods, including EB. after i installed and started up the mod, everything was working perfectly until i clicked the new campaign button, when it told me "please select an item on the list". this has happened to me beforehand, in a version of RTW that i torrented before the Mac app store was released, and it happened on the Alexander expansion, so i deduced that it must be a semi-common or uncommon error in the script, and i was wondering if anyone in the audience could assist me with a few suggestions?

Nobody on the team uses a Mac as gaming platform, so support from our side is little.
If possible, don't run RTW Gold, just RTW basic.
Contacting Feral directly through their homepage is also an option.
