However, remember the last time CoD fans got together to protest the methods of Activision/Infinity Ward?

Also here is the official trailer for it that got leaked and has been taken down multiple times on youtube. Watch it while you can.
Oh and it speaks to us gamers soooo much.

It's possibly the worst thing I have ever seen. It's essentially a Steam copy, made for one game series (of questionable quality), asking for a paid subscription for as of yet unknown quality services.

People will stay pay for it and Activision know it.
What? More cods? It's quite annoying.

This makes me applaud my decision even more for purchasing Battlefield 3.

Signing up for this should make you ineligible to play any non-CoD games forever.
Joining a "Boycott X" steam group should make Steam block X from your account forever.

Ars tech (http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2011/05/call-of-duty-elite-is-a-for-pay-social-content-service.ars)seems to think this could be useful for COD players who want to be competitive.
The gamers can rage all they want; what it comes down to is if they buy the game. And as ACIN showed, the vast majority of COD players will.
I'm getting BF3, though.

Looks exactly like the Rockstar Social Club except they expect you to pay for it. Haha, no thanks. Charging a premium fee for community features is a little bit on the ridiculous side imo. I skipped BlOps, don't see any reason to get MW3 so far either.
