I just downloaded EB about a week ago and I have completely fallen in love with this mod. Serious kudos to the designers.

Anyway, I am having a problem with the "Governor" trait / retinue that is given out for the various regions by the Senate. My general who had be the governor for Cisalpine Gaul died and it seems that the governorship for that province died with him. Is there any way to appoint a new FM as the new governor without just click-dragging the "retinue" to a new FM sometime before the current one dies?

Thanks for you help in advance!

It should pop up with a new chap soon enough, provided your guys in the area has room. The FM's can only have 8 ancilliaries. And he has to be in a city in the province, of course.

How many provinces are there? I have only ever found cisalpine gaul, despite having quite extensive lands at some time. Any guide on this somewhere?

May help a bit. I am not 100% certain if the list is exhaustive, but you can always check the scripts to see how many there are.

Thanks guys! The governorship did pop up on someone else, I just didn't notice it as the FM had moved fairly far away from the area and had apparently received the governorship as he was passing through.

I appreciate the help! :laugh4:
