Best Horse Archers

I have not played all factions I was wondering which faction is considered to have the best selection of horse archers. I have seen that the Hungarians are rated by some, but it would seem that Byzantium fields better mounted archers. Javlin throwers seem to be appreciated by others, especially the Polish Nobles, but I find the lack of range and limited ammo annoying.

Ideally I would like to have Vardariatoi as my top of the range unit and Strzelcy as the entry level one - they are great for dropping behing enemy lines and letting their armour piercing bolts chew through generals and other heavily mailed opponents.

Any thoughts?

I assume you mean in the vanilla game?

Hands down the Varidariatoi is the best horse-archer among the playable factions, especially with the armour upgrade.

Mamluk Archers are my close second, with Sipahis and Magyar Cavalry coming in tied for third.

Honourable mention to the humble Byzantine Cavalry, which when experienced and fully upgraded is useful against the Mongols.

Byzantine, Egypt, Russia, Turk have some good HA units. Even hungary has decent HA.

If we're including Mongols then the Heavy Archers are good but probably not quite as good as Varidariatoi based on stats. They would beat the Mamluks in my list because their morale is better.
