Windows 7 won't load after installing EB

Hi there,

I discovered your wonderful mod early last week. Firstly i would like to say how much fun it is to play.
Secondly, i am upset as i cannot play it at the moment.
My laptop has gone into melt down since i installed and started playing the game. I do not know what may have caused it but is it in anyway possibly the EB1.2 has done this?
I run Win7 64 on a new machine, i have Rome B.I 1.6 installed. I followed the installation instructions and the game works. I had to download the reconmended fix for BI which was listed on the Total War centre site. Is it possible that this "fix" may have triggered it. Has anyone else mentioned any problems of this nature?

P.S. When i say my laptop is broken, it won't load windows and asks me to run the start up repair tool.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as i would love to play the game.

I had a similar problem...what happend with me was that I wasn't running it in windowed mode and it was causing my screen to completely mess up upon which I had to carefully shut my system down or else I would get issues as you have. It seems like with windows 7 you must run EB in windowed mode or else it goes buggy, what you must do is select the target line if your EB-BI and put " -ne" at the end, note the space. This should sort it out, if not reinstall your EB. GL
