You know I just saw this on the BBC site and you beat me to it by one minute.

I can't believe this news, my jaw actually dropped, I didn't know that really happened.

You can't get more classic than Columbo. I loved the character, the whole 'dishevelled detective' thing. All his mannerisms were fantastic. One of the things I like to do in RL when I'm messing about is go back into a room with the whole "one more question" thing.

I wasn't even alive anywhere near the time but somehow seeing all this old films makes me nostalgic.

RIP Peter Falk, a legend is fallen. Dementia is a sad way to go as well. :shame:

Along with Monk he is miles up there ahead of any other of the great detectives.

His was a unique character to be sure, and in an era of dozens of detective/crime fighter shows Columbo topped them all. He played the "idiot savant" role to perfection. RIP Columbo, but before you go just "one more thing..." :bow:
