I am wonder how small a minority of people who post here who do not play the actual game. I have never play one game in my life and I was brought he to play the many mafia games that go on in the Gameroom.

I mod. Unfortunately that sort of precludes playing them as they end up broken or Frakensteined or need to be kept intact to replace the eventual broken or Frakensteined versions. And then there is the question of time.

I used to spend hours nearly every day playing the first engine games online. Since then, no. I thought I might get back into it with S2TW, but I lost interest. Still waiting for one that reignites that old passion.

I used to.... Back when I was younger. Recently I played a bit of Shogun 2, but, over time it has lost its charm over me. Not that it's no good or anything, it's just I no longer enjoy it. =/

I used to play endlessly. All the titles pretty much. I have Shogun 2 and have put some time into it and enjoy it, but my computer has seen better days and I think a better one is in order before I can enjoy anymore of Shogun 2. To the degree of past titles anyway. TWs are pretty much the only video games I play nowadays, I not being the gamer I once was. I just have to fire up older versions. :(

I played RTW-BI-ALEX, M2TW-Kingdoms, Empire, Napoleon, and Shogun2.... but here's a twist, I'm only play some vanilla campaign for a while, and install mods afterwards, notable exceptional vanilla, unmodded TW I still enjoy is Napoleon and only Napoleon. The rest is mod... (this can be interpreted both ways, Napoleon TW did have the best vanilla balance, enjoyment, and interesting stuffs, but that can also meant every napoleon mod I try is not that good)

Stopped after RTW. Played when M2TW Kingdoms came out.....then ETW didn't work for me.....so yeah been a long time.

But all the regular members return to this place because of the Org's/Guild's charm, and not because they play TW games.

Love this place.

Played RTW/EB a lot, ETW and M2TW a bit.

I've barely touched a PC game for years, save a little EU3/Victoria.

After Rome... I've only given newer TW titles comparative lip service-- I really do and honestly like S2TW, games in general just don't evoke the same kind of passion I once had as an adolescent-young adult. Like Rhy the only current games that I really play anymore are Paradox Games... besides it's summer, I completely wipe my HDD Clean of Games and wait for colder days to come.

I mod.

And I play his mods

The only games I play continually are EB, SS, DLV and BC. With of course Mass Effect and Kotor in between...

I played Medieval Total War about five times and lost interest. I don't remember what game came out at the same time, but I think I enjoyed it more. I've been thinking about trying Shogun, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

All together I've probably played 1,000-2,000 hours of Total War.

It seems to be mostly the non players posting, so I will jump in and say, Yes, I still play them.

I have stuck at it with the good and not so good. I even stuck it out with ETW while it was a work in progress. Thankfully they got it working well and caped it with NTW and now S2. Age has little to do with enjoyment.

It is just my outlet for blowing things up and breaking things.

I've never played a Total War game and honestly doubt I ever will, they're just not my type of games.

I came here for the Gameroom, stayed for the cool people. :3

Are these cool people hidden away is some moderator only forum?

I haven't enjoyed any of the TW games since Rome, still play EB, mainly PBMs in the Throne Room. I would play MTW if I could get it running on my PC.

A new screamin' laptop, the first upgrade in about six years, is due here within the week. I get to catch up playing all the best games of the last two or three years which I couldn't play on this computer--at a fraction of the price. This I like. First on my list though is Total War Shogun 2. Though I haven't bought a TW release since MTW1, this one, I will buy. Looking forward to it, and especially, the new PC.

Over the years I played a ton of STW SP, a good amount of STW MP, and the same for MTW/VI, including some very fine Samurai Warlords mod MP. So yeah, I even play Total War, quite a bit. And I'm about to play some more--first time in a long while.

Still playing Medieval 1. With real life interfering a lot, a campaign can last quite a while.

I have played all the titles, all the expansions,No I never modded them.I must say thanks to the company who made these types of games. For one, these types of games suit me very well,2 fight epic battles,3 no major rival comp.

Total war is brilliant.I like it,Shogun 2 is the best of them all.

rollercoaster glitches, knights&merchants glitches, MTW glitches... sad story...Yeah that is one problem with new software is the old games are generally not runable on them, unless you somehow are able to run it on the old systems. That is a sad thing.

Finally the exams are over and I got plenty of time to get back to EB to refresh my memory and detoxify the filth of the dis-culturalization classes!

Will also give a chance to Shogun 2 per Left Eye Nine's recommendation.

Played all of them, Medieval TW is my favourite game ever, S2TW is good-ish but doesn't keep me interested for the long term.

I started detoxifying myself of games so gradually I will no longer play any more. At all.

Aye. I played the old Shogun for years, then Medieval 1. Never touched Rome, the fast pace of battle didn't appeal to me.

Then I bought a new comp and played Medieval 2, which was fun until the algorithm held no more secrets for me. And then I discovered I couldn't run either Shogun or MTW 1 on it...

I stopped playing altogether. I would start again today if I could run the oldies.

If he has the nVidia 8/9 series, it just doesn't matter. If not, I'd be curious to know what his rig is, he might have a chance.

Heh, my old PC can run Shogun 1 and Medieval 1. It seems like that's something special on this forum. Don't you guys have old PC's? Or kept them?

I have an old Pentium 4 2.4 that I still have that ran STW thru M2TW. I now have a duel core that ran M2TW thru Shogun 2 (Shogun 2 just barely). Both PCs are considered old. The Pentium 4 I bought in 2002 and the duel core in 2009. Technology seems to move faster than time itself! :/

I still play, but 90% of it is hotseats and TW rpgs. EB and STW2 once in a while single player (and the latter a bit in an mp campaign).

I used to play Medieval 2 Total War but at one point, I got banned from it because of some bad grades. Then, the OS for the Mac was upgraded which unfortunately meant that windows XP boot camp went away. Since then, we haven't been able to find the windows CD and now windows XP isn't even being sold anymore. For a few days earlier this year, I was able to install it on my friend's laptop but he uninstalled it shortly after he got back from his "Alternative Break".

Heh, my old PC can run Shogun 1 and Medieval 1. It seems like that's something special on this forum. Don't you guys have old PC's? Or kept them?Unfortunately I don't have an old computer since the one I previously had died when the power supply went, since it also fried the motherboard. So that means I had to get a new one, but that old computer was a good machine.
