View Full Version : Really weird problem with Firefox

My Firefox (5.0, on 64-bit Windows 7) has decided, from last night, to treat the link http://www.guardian.co.uk/football as if it were the link http://www.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/2011/jul/01/kate-moss-wedding-preparations

There's no redirect, it just goes straight there. I can try clicking on the first link or typing it in; same result. The link works fine on Chrome.

Any ideas? :help::computer::huh2:

Not seeing this specific bug addressed, but Mozilla and the Guardian web site seem to have a long and ugly history (http://www.google.com/search?q=guardian+football+firefox+bug&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a#sclient=psy&hl=en&client=firefox-a&hs=gx1&rls=org.mozilla:en-US%3Aofficial&source=hp&q=guardian+firefox+bug&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.&fp=81a622269df861eb&biw=1024&bih=449) of not liking each other.

Rather likely the problem is not with your browser, rather the website. If it behaves with Chrome, then use Chrome when surfing them. This is why most geeks keep a minimum 2-3 browsers installed at a time.
