View Full Version : Congrats guys
Just read a PC gamer article explaining the lack of mod tools in Empire Total War and there is a mention of how EB was among the best mods made for Rome Total War.

I think I saw the link on steam as well. The article still sounds like bull though. I don't like their excuses for the massively delayed mod help.
Still, kudo's for the EB mention and recognition.
Or as Oscar wilde would say: The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about
^^
yes, we've seen that article. It was very a big boost to our confidence (and egos) to be mentioned in Craig's post to the modding communities. If you are interested in the modding community then it is well worth reading the thread in full.

Any mod article/thread or whatever, which doesn't mention EB is bull in all seriousness...
Might be that is completely aligned with my tastes, but EB is THE mod...

Yeah Foot even to people who don't even have the slightest interest in history (why do i know these people...) noticed the clear and present disparity between this modification and most real games. I mean when people ask about it, I say it's literally a playable history textbook.
I wish I could display how much my knowledge of history and culture has increased because of EB! All my reading of ancient history has such a strong foundation and multiple points of reference because I know not just names, places, etc. but political situations. The Indo-Greeks were introduced to me through this! man oh man
Europa Barbarorum isn't just THE mod, in many cases it's THE game. Only Valve and CD Projekt have the same dedication to quality and a love for their work as the EB team, i'm dead serious!
I'm going to make a thread on NeoGaf for it right now! :)

nice of them to be restarting their old gig of helping modders.
I frankly have other questions, going beyond modding itself, specifically of the older games. but that's another day.

the other thing I feel like saying is this: EB and its team deserve every compliment they can get from the gaming community. I only hope the good fortune continues for EB.

Speaking of CA and EB, I occasionally notice a CA dev (Jack Lusted) lurking in the EBII forum. Come out of the shadows and into the light, Jack. I'm sure some people have some questions for you...
