No she signed some Christian group's pledge that states (among other things) that even as bad as slavery was, a black child had a better chance of being raised by two parents in 1860 than today. The problem (well, one of several) is such statistics didn't exist back then.
She also committed to banning all pornography.
CR
She also committed to banning all pornography.
hence....as I already stated in the GOP thread...she became unelectable basically.
there area a lot more porn fans out there then they might be capable to admit.
Just like beta...it's the wrong side of the fence to be in.

He certainly fits the profile of the super religious anti-gay gay guy.
At some point with these guys, you have to think: what straight guy is going to spend all his time, effort, and energy researching, writing, and lecturing about gay people? How many of your straight friends hide in the bushes to stalk gay people? There has to be a genuine interest there.
Edit: Wow, this is even better (or worse) than I thought. The guy runs an ex-gay therapy clinic (http://powerwall.msnbc.msn.com/politics/marcus-bachmanns-gay-cure-1694576.story). So gay...
But reparative therapy is dangerous no matter how good the intentions behind it. It doesn't work, and it exacerbates the self-loathing that leads gays and lesbians to seek it out in the first place.
According to the American Psychiatric Association, “The potential risks of ‘reparative therapy' are great, including depression, anxiety and self-destructive behavior, since therapist alignment with societal prejudices against homosexuality may reinforce self-hatred already experienced by the patient.”
The American Psychological Association condemned reparative therapy in a 1997 resolution, affirming the principle that “psychologists do not make false or deceptive statements concerning...the scientific or clinical basis for...their services.”
So Bachmann's clinic, which has received $137,000 in Medicaid funds, is subjecting people to psychologically damaging techniques with no scientific basis. Wiertzema's approach is not unique there.
Indeed, the clinic sells copies of Janet Boynes book Called Out: A Former Lesbian's Discovery of Freedom, which argues, “Homosexuality, like any sin, separates us from God, for He cannot tolerate sin in His presence.” Becker photographed stacks of the books in the Bachmann & Associates office.
Hanging above them was a typed endorsement from Marcus Bachmann saying, “Janet is a friend. I recommend this book as she speaks to the heart of the matter and gives practical insights of truth to set people free.”
Neither Bachmann nor many of his therapists, it's important to note, have serious psychological training.
His Ph.D. comes from the Union Institute, a Cincinnati-based correspondence school; in 2002, it was cited by the Ohio Board of Regents, which said, “Expectations for student scholarship at the doctoral level were not as rigorous as is common for doctoral work.”
It also explains wife Michelle's crazy reaction to gay people discussed in the GOP nominee thread, and so much more about her positions. These people are deeply mixed up in the anti-gay gay subculture, the ex-gay movement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ex-gay_movement) - which has long been known to consist almost entirely of self-loathing gay people. The sociopathic behavior that one must engage in to reach that level of denial seems consistent with some of her other stances.
This woman cannot be the nominee. :shame:
Edit2: Could Michelle Bachmann be a lesbian?
It is quite common for gay men and lesbians to marry each other (http://www.thescavenger.net/glbsgdq/they-cant-be-gay-they-are-married-45867.html) in the ex-gay crowd in an effort to project 'normalcy'.

I have to say something about his accent in that video screams "gay".
Anyway, just because I don't like homosexuality doesn't make me a closet gay. I have a lot of strong moral reasons for opposing it, and I can assure you that I am not in some state of denial. IMO the fact that I hate gay sex more than any of you shows that I like girls more than any of you. I mean, whenever I think about gay sex, it makes me so I angry that my blood pressure shoots up, I start getting all hot and sweaty, I start panting and I get into such a rage I want to rip all my clothes off. And I am pretty damn scary in such a state, if I were to find a weapon like a baseball bat lying about I shudder to think of what I might do with it...

Before Vice President Dick Cheney's visit this past summer, Bachmann's husband, Marcus, hit the stores -- "he's got a good sense of style" -- and came home with "a sleek, simple hourglass dress with a yoke collar in winter white." He even bought a matching coat and shoes. "I just slipped it on."
