Is there anything to see down there for someone who is 19 and pushing 20 years of age? My father wants to take me/the family down there because "it's such a nice place". That's great, but it's a little kid's place and I like to know is there anything down there for me to see and if so, how much stuff is there to see for people my age?
There is alot of magic to behold in disney land! But seriously, I bet you would be surprised at how much fun a 20 year old can have at a kiddy park. There are areas for adults, I haven't been in a while but I remember being bored when my parents took my sister and I thru them. Also, I am sure once you are on a ride, even if it is the tea cups, you will find that the trip was not a wasted one.
Ah, to ride the haunted mansion or mattehorn mountain again, what fun! :D

I am obsessed with Disney parks. Really.
In fact, I shall be at Disney World next month, where I shall cry at the first sight of my beloved castle and where I shall ask Minnie to marry me.

Your castle?! Oh, Minnie is spoken for as well. Erm...this wouldn't happen to be Mickey VI the Fat in disguise, would it?
Go have fun at Disney Land, warman. Perhaps you and Louis (Mickey ?) can have a clandestine meeting or such? :)

I went to Disneyworld at 11 and didn't enjoy it at all, I'd probably enjoy it more now, at 33. Whether I'd have wanted to go at 20 is another question, probably not.

disney is a soul sucking evil corporation.
disney is a soul sucking evil corporation.
Disney sucks the magic and wonder out of all of us...then charges us ticket fees to see it.
Bad experiences, Centurion?

Your castle?! Oh, Minnie is spoken for as well. Erm...this wouldn't happen to be Mickey VI the Fat in disguise, would it?The one thing I can't stand at Disney is all those other people. They are welcome to come, but as spectators. They must be mindful that the place belongs to me. Everybody else must content themselves with being background blur. It is my castle and my princesses, me me me.
Now that we're on the subject, I might as well confess that to say that I know by name every single leaf on every single tree would still not do justice to the extent of my obsession. Sadly, I had to pick a park in Orlando to be my eternal beloved. It was the park I went to first, as a wee lad, shortly before Disneyland Paris opened. The love was instantaneous, all-consuming, and has never waned since. Sadly, I have never really gotten used to the park in Paris, which, although I admire it artistically, has never ruled my imagination the way WDW has. Sad, really, considering how close to it I have lived, just a short train ride away. I have visited Disneyland Paris quite a bit, but always mostly as a convenient substitute for the American parks.
I assume you visited Disneyland in Anaheim, Los Angeles? ('Matterhorn', 'Disneyland') Great park. I was fortunate enough to have visited that one too. I consider it nothing less than the greatest gesamtkunstwerk, greatest total work of art, of the twentieth century.
Total genius, endless fun.

disney is a soul sucking evil corporation. It is, sadly. But it is not the whole story.
There are many forces at work in Disney. From genuine artists with a devotion to Disney's artistic heritage, to ruthless accountaneers squeezing every last penny out of this legacy, to evil marketeers whose sole job consists of shoving infantile cartoon franchises down the throats of unsupecting families without the time or confidence of taste to raise their children on proper quality entertainment.
