What a summer we're having (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-14262237).
Last month, the north Londoner pulled out of her European tour after she was jeered at her comeback gig in Serbia for appearing too drunk to perform.Singer Amy Winehouse, 27, has been found dead at her home, the Press Association has reported.
For 90 minutes, she mumbled through parts of songs and at times left the stage - leaving her band to fill in.
The troubled singer had a long battle with drink and drugs which overshadowed her musical career in recent years.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman confirmed that a 27-year-old woman had died in Camden and that the cause of death was as yet unexplained.
London Ambulance Service had been called to the flat at 1554 BST and sent two ambulances but the woman died, it said.
RIP. You had so much to sing rather ****ing up your life day by day.

Blimey. So young as well.
Now how can I tease my 11 year old grandaughter? I used to call her Whiny Alehouse. Sadly many a true word spoken in jest.
R.I.P. Amy. A talented but tormented soul.
Damn... one of the greatest artist of our time, it was not meant to be. If you don't hear it here you will forever be lost forever https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ll7UFxqI2pM
RIP
For amy , beauty is treated unkindly http://www.google.nl/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBwQtwIwAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dqe9kKf7SHco&ei=wAQrTtfDO8WSOoLezNwK&usg=AFQjCNF0nhwWLhP_p0VFn-NeqjOXF1t-ZQ&sig2=BWLBR1wIJlDAh0ilbf6VbQ
27. Like Joplin. Like Hendrix. Like Johnson.
I'm almost starting to believe in the myth.
Heroin is dreadful stuff. RIP, Ms. Winehouse.

What sad news.

Very sad indeed. Back to Black was a fine song, Rehab was haunting. Now we're all a bit back to black because another great voice is lost for soul music.

At least now the torture has stopped.
~:smoking:
let's have a moment of silence please.
let's take time to think of all the drugs dealers that have just found themselfs out of a job....it's hard out there man!
While I wasn't a fan of her music in particular, could we at least show some bit of respect. Unlike the tragedy in Norway, you might suggest (and rightly so, in my opinion) that she had it coming. Regardless.

And Kurt Cobain. And Jim Morrison.

I'm not surprised-- but even so, I hope she found her peace; tragically tortured soul.

I'll put money on it that her family and friends do.

People care when a musician dies. Music is emotional, there is a bond between the performer and the audience. I myself posted two videos of a slightly obscure saxophone player two weeks ago, when he died, which did affect me.
I never cared for Amy Winehouse's music, I do feel sorry for what I assume was a troubled soul with an addiction she could not get under control. RIP.

There is always someone who cares. I for one hope that stories like hers will never cease to move me, whether they are about a famous singer or the girl that no one knew.
I didn't care for her music at all but the tragedy of a human life saddens me nonetheless.

For Reference: The Backroom Rules Explained (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?109341-For-Reference-The-Backroom-Rules-Explained&):
Rest in Peace
When a person of note dies, it is the Backroom tradition that we do not dissect their legacy until the funeral has taken place. Until that time, only respectful posts marking their passing will be allowed.

Weird yet so common that people confuse their naturally subjective perceptions as their manifestations of so called deep intellect that should be illuminating the sole truth.
I care for Tosa, Amy or whomever I feel a bond with, maybe even you, God forbid. Why do people love deploying such reactions about which one speaks of his/her care for another -may it be genuine or not- as if they are the V's of our "virtualized damnations" ?

Kukri? Say wut
One of the first people that comes into my mind when it's about The Org -I see how he sits there among those other names though, forgive my late-night-ridden mind (03.40). :sweatdrop:
Gregoshi-sensei was lucky to have been saved from that list. :smoking:

Even I was scared; I'm editing out his name now just to get rid of that unfortunate stupidity of mine.
