Was playing on Legendary Mode (which I have fallen in love with) and the game froze up and the program stopped responding.

On reloading Shogun 2 my saved game will no longer load up. This is the only save I have as Legendary only has one auto save. At long last I was holding my own on this difficulty and I can’t believe I am probably going to have to start all over.

I didn't want to back up the saved game as I thought it might be too seductive to use that save if things went wrong! However it is just too risky and I am going to have to do that from now on.

The game does seem unusually buggy as several times on other campaigns the game has crahsed oddly usually when clicking on a particular ship or port and the crash would be replicable on reloading the saved game and doing the same thing. I would imagine this must be a fault in the programming of the game?

Do you mean you want me to post here something from the DirectX Diagnostic Tool?

Ouch. You have my sympathy. I ran into a bad save playing an MP campaign. I can't imagine what would have happened if that were our only save. :sweatdrop:

Zim a multiplayer campaign? That sounds interesting - how does that work? Battles on Autoresolve?

Well thanks Pharoah that's very kind of you - the DxDiag file is over the top big so I will post just the system bit

We've been playing the battles, although that means things go rather slowly (a two hour session could be dominated by battles). An autoresolve campaign mighty be more practical, but it's still been really fun. I'm impressed by the mp campaign in TWS2.

We also do mp campaigns for Medieval Total War 2 over in the Throne Room section of the forums using the hotseat function.

When I one day finally get to beat this legendary AI I will have to come over and see what this multiplayer is all about!

It's really fun. Outside of TWS2 and Europa Barbarorum I barely play single player anymore.

On the other hand, I have yet to face the AI on legendary. Might have to try that if VH didn't kick me in the face and make me cry at the moment. :clown:

From what I understand the legendary AI is the same as the VH AI. The only changes are the saving mechanic and the numerous restrictions on the battlefield.
