View Full Version : Stuck on 14 AD
Hello. I'm having a problem with the EB script in my campaign.
I'm old to RTW (and modding), new to EB. Enjoying the mod so far. Good job!
I'm playing as the Romans. I've decided to not go for the victory objectives as I want to play in my own style and tempo. Anyway, 14 AD comes around and I get the message that I've failed to achieve the victory conditions - fine fine... but now the advisor pops up and wants me to activate the EB script. I do it but he keeps popping up and the script isn't activated (next turn becomes winter for instance, even though it should be autumn).
As I don't want to end my campaign I'm hoping there's a solution to this? (I'm playing with EB for BI, if it matters.)
Thanks

Spelade du hela vägen till 14 e.kr, eller hoppar den dit när du aktiverar skriptet? Det går inte att spela längre än 14 e.kr är jag rädd.

To read this answer in english would be really interesting. I ended all campaigns before 14 AD but I'm still interested to know if the EB script stops working at this point?

They do. From the FAQ:
Q: What is the date range of EB?
A: EB starts in 272BC and ends in AD14.

Did you activate the script each time you load a save?
The script itself is only written to run to 14AD. It should work if you play longer, but most features of EB won't work anymore as they are bound to a turn date.

I knew about the end date although I never played that long. RTW has an end date as well but you can comfortably play on after that if you wish to do so (I see no reason why you would but suit yourself xD), yet playing EB without 4 wouldn't feel right
XSamatans answer pretty much clears it up though, thanks!

Spelade fram till år 14.
Well, I knew the game was set between 272 BC and 14 AD, but I thought you could continue playing if you wanted to like vanilla RTW. Damn shame that you can't. Turns out 1000+ turns just isn't enough for me. Oh well...
Thanks for clearing it up

XSamatan know better than me, so listen him instead: :P

Check if you've achieved your faction's victory conditions, and if you've achieved them you should logically be able to continue playing.
