No, not with the stupid browser server listing.
"Hey Todd, we didn't actually add anything substantial to the game other than more 'splosions"
"You're right Rick, let's try changing something that has been established and refined to brilliant simplicity in the past decade by making it as inconvenient as possible so as to please the termites that live inside our heads."
"Yeah, it'll function as a great distraction since we can't get the ping to report properly or have hit detection that isn't infuriatingly bad."
"Oh! Don't forget to avoid testing the features so that the voice chat is just as nonfunctional as it was in the prequel."

I don't think it will be that bad. BF2 is still pretty good!

There you go.
Several things give me pause. The web based server browser and vehicles regenerating health are two of the dumbest ideas ever thought of for a multiplayer FPS game.
Not to mention in the alpha, the BC2 Hardcore mode damage levels + proning + 3D spotting = clusterfudge. For the game to be playable, one of those three things has to go...preferably the last one.

No mods = no sale. There are tons of great mods for BF2*.
*never played them or BF2 at all, but my main interest in the series at all was the mod possibilities.
Absolutely going to get it. The screenshots are just..... wow. And the Battlefield formula is just awesome. Killzone 3's servers are kinda drying up sadly and Call of Duty quakeWITHREALISM-formula is great fun but it's getting a bit old. Battlefield games have a long breath even without mods, I will probably be playing it for a long time
One thing is that it has origins wich I hered it is like spyware
