lagging camaign map?

i am very happy having shogun 2 now, and it is a great game. but my campaign map is lagging very much. why is that? should i put the graphics down? or is it because my computer has not enough memory left?

The campaign map can get very laggy due to all the shadows it wants to display, if your computer isnt a super-fast beast, it might be a good idea to tweak your graphical settings to find your sweet spot ~:)
