I was wondering if there's a site that you know of,where I can download the XL and the Tyberius mod add-on to XL,all at once, without having to download each seperate part of them one at a time. I did think one existed once, but it appears to have been removed since then.

It exists, I just don't know where to get it. Some of the modders have it stored away, but by the time I started organizing the Engineer's Guild it was gone.

Yeah, the one-step Tyberius 2.3 + XL 3.0 install was taken down after a dispute between Tyberius and Axalon (who didn't feel his input was sufficiently recognized, afaik). One of the more unfortunate things to have happened on these forums.

Best you can do, for the moment, is to run Tyberius 2.2––still well worth the trouble of downloading the parts, imo.

Unfortunately, Tyberius is no longer active on these forums and Axalon is preoccupied with his own mod. Perhaps someday there will be a change of heart, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

What exactly does Tyberius add to the mod? I've been planning on downloading XL once my current campaign is finished and I've read a lot about it--what might I expect with the Tyberius add-on?

Hi

Lots of new units, lots of money to be made, more factions, some nice new artwork. The mod really goes to town on vanilla - as do several other MTW mods, by the way.

I've had a lot of fun with this combo mod. But it did not resolve the problem of the AI using stupid amounts of artillery in its initial deployment which has always peed me off hugely. Caravel and Redux (neither of which have I played extensively) do not suffer from this problem in my experience.

Best regards

Regarding Tyberius mod v.2.3 & v.3.0 (including the "re-releases")....

Let me - once and for all - make it clear to this community that Tyberius mod v.2.3 and v.3.0 (whatever the incarnations) is no longer available somehow for any public distribution (that I know about). And, as long as it still somehow contains and includes material that has traceable origins from my work somehow - it will be, and should be, permanently removed from any public host. Thus these releases and re-releases is not publicly available, nor should they be, nor will they ever be again. Period.

If this stuff is still somehow publicly distributed anywhere, it is done so explicitly against my will as I still reserve my basic rights to determine how my material is used and distributed in public (either in part or as a whole, it makes no difference). Feel free to send me a PM right away if you got any further information about any continued public distribution anywhere of these files. I would appreciate it. I will then swiftly contact the people responsible and have it permanently removed ASAP.

Is there really any questions or doubts left about how I feel about this.

...If somebody actually want to know some real facts about it - the basics are outlined right here ( https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/showthread.php?137196-Engineer-s-Guild-maintenance-help&p=2053390108&viewfull=1#post2053390108).

At least you got that part right... Let me also point out the fact that I did not start this mess - Tyberius did, due to his practices and actions - first in 2008, and again in 2009. I reacted upon these actions and practices - as any sane, half-decent person would on general principle. Clearly, many people in this community don't care somehow about their own work or have some sort of plain basic respect for the works of others - but I do, and I won't sell it out short just because it might be deemed as more "convenient" for some in this community if I did....

Hello, Axalon. Thanks for the clarification. What I wrote about your debacle with Tyberius was based on my own--admittedly limited--observations. No disrespect intended. In fact, I have nothing but respect for your modding skills (I've logged many hours playing both versions of Redux), and I recognize your right to protect your work from being disseminated without your explicit consent. That's a no-brainer. Still, it's a shame that you and Tyb weren't able to come to an understanding. I think that XL 3.0 + Tyberius would have been the pinnacle of greatness for that particular mod. As far as "continued public distribution" goes, there's nothing out there, afaik (and, believe me, I've looked--ha, ha). At this point, I am content to play the "available" version of XL + Tyb, even if I do still dream of the final one. Redux also continues to impress and entertain. Very, very fine work, Axalon. Here's to many more versions (or, at least, as many as you can handle making!) Again, I appreciate your clarifications.
