Other game companys do release patches quite a lot,but I was looking on the CIV V website, and I had a look at their patches and it was epic

I wonder why no one else has done that.

To me ,it seems like CA does have a rival. Sid's Meir Civilization does have a lot of epicness in it,and its making me want to buy CIV 5.

I just wonder why CA could never do this ,unlike the CIV team, who do care a lot about the community.

Don't get me wrong here,I'm a dedicated total war fan,but CIV 5 is just....I mean,CA needs to go the way in which the Sid meir team are going(Right now, they released a lot of patches and DLCS~)

That's a bad thing. Civ 5 came out as an absolute train wreck. They didn't have to do balance changes. They had to redo the entire pacing of the game. Those are the patch notes of a game in the middle of development, not patch notes for a released product.

And their DLCs are all terrible value for the buck. In their defense, CA's DLCs have terrible value too, with the exception of Rise of the Samurai, which I am planning to purchase after I'm finished with the game I'm currently playing.

I would love Civilization 5, as a game, except it is buggy as hell, and the AI sucks bad. I switched to Shogun 2 as my alternative, and for now, I am playing it as a turn based strategy game. I am very happy with Shogun 2: I encounter few bugs of consequence, and the AI is decent, at least for the strategic game.

I have not yet purchased any add-ons for Shogun 2, as I am still learning the base game. I am sure I will buy RoS and maybe some others later.

Strange.Their website has the community patches. It seems everyone on the interent likes it.While others hate it.

It seems like you want to convince yourself about Civ 5 being a very good game however I have to remind you that nobody has the power to make you conclude otherwise while you think that way. So, well, go get a Civ 5 and enjoy it.
