Oooh, finally a game to get excited about?

Great news. Liked GTA4. Loved TBoGT.
Here's hoping they release it together on all platforms, instead of delaying on the PC, and then making a sub standard port.

To be honest I think console only on release is a given.

11th February is already over, how could I miss this? :clown:

I am quite curious as well though.

You're probably right....
Although it's no longer fair for publishers to view PC as a 'blacklisted' platform.

Hoping for New Orleans (with a Nick from L4D2 type character) but rumor has it that its LA (Los Santos).

That logo is making me think Las Vegas, I believe it was called Las Venturas in San Andreas. Or perhaps we'll get the three city dealie again. That would be good.

Ireland, Dublin or some place.
I think that's where Patrick McReary is shown heading at the end of TBoGT.

Or it might be San Andreas.

It's 2011, the PC hasn't been a major game platform for almost a decade.

Thats what they want you to think.

Only because it's true. Besides sooner rather than later it won't matter. M$ wants to make it so you can play Xbox games on the PC.

If all you look at is brick and mortar sales numbers for multiplatform and delayed console ports, it looks like its true.

When you realize that a great deal of the PC's revenue is hidden in digital distribution and subscriptions, its not so simple.

And how much of a market share does digital distrobution account for?

Back to Los Santos by the looks of things.

Excellent trailer, like the music.

San Andreas FTW! Mount Chilid and Bigfoot here I come.

Although I couldn't make out who the protagonist was.

Edit:
Also would be nice to see Los Santos post CJ. I'll bet there'll be a ton of references/story connections.

Small Faces, great band.

An older chap, with kids, hopefully that means he's married so we don't have any dating shenanigans. Not sure if he was shown in the clip, perhaps the guy around forty seconds in?

Thanks for the bands name. Can you also please tell me what song/album that is?

And popular opinion elsewhere is that the guy 40 seconds in is probably the protagonist, like you said. But I've been re-watching the trailer and I was leaning more towards the guy in the car at 26 seconds and then seen again at 37 seconds.

The song is called Ogdens' Nut Gone Flake, from the album of the same name.

No one knows for sure, Steam and all the others seem intent on keeping sales numbers secret. Estimates have been made, I'm sure you can find them with google.

But its easier to just ask yourself: how many of your gaming friends buy their games at wal-mart and how many buy theirs on Steam? It's not 2003 anymore.

Anyways, back on topic. Trailer was great. I don't expect them to do the entire state of San Andreas again but it looks like they did include the Mt. Chilliad area at least. Good stuff.

Based on the sample size of 2 (my brother and brother-in-law). 100% buy their games from a store (Future Shop/EB Games/Wal-Mart). No matter how you try and argue it PC gaming is a nice market. Accounting for a small percentage of sales. So small in fact that PC versions are more a charity that companies choose to engage in, rather than a necessity for a successful title. And are basically the Xbox version modded to run on Windows.

The PC market is completely different from the console one, so basing judgments on its health on how well multi-platform games (that were designed with consoles in mind and ported poorly) sell on it shows that you have too narrow an understanding of what the PC market is to make such sweeping generalizations. You might as well say consoles are dying because Portal 2 sold less on them or Ubisoft hasn't seen fit to port Anno 1404 to the Wii.

Games for PC sell well on PC. Ones that show X-Box 360 buttons in the control options when you don't have one plugged in don't, and it's not because there's no one around on the platform to buy them.

No, it's CJ from San andreas or some sort of lookalike.
