Haven't played in a while, so no I don't.

What is the info on the update?

I'm trying to play a multiplayer campaign but I don't see the option to launch on in the MP menu, while my friend, whom I am speaking to right now sees it and can play it =S

I just redownloaded/installed the game and it still says 1.5 and not 1.6 like it does for him. Automatic updates for Steam are activated.

I think you can manually check for updates, even at that.

find view update status or something like that. You may end up going to the game's page on steam.

Could you give me a step by step guide on how to manually check for updates? I tried for about an hour yesterday and never even got close to downloading anything. After my friend tried to talk me through it, I think my install of Steam was bugged, so I reinstalled that... no improvement.

Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I don’t have the game installed at the moment and can’t take a couple of hours to do so.

If you reinstalled all updates should have gone with it.

Honestly, I didn’t know there was a 1.6.

Are you sure your friend doesn’t have some mod running?

All I can think of is to contact Steam.

It is not the best way to go but at this point your only way.

Uh, I guess I will just write it off as not working =p

Saves me the trouble of dealing with customer support. At least the game didn't cost a lot.

If you got it mainly for Multiplayer then you should actually move over to NTW.

It is much better at that and supports campaigns as well as battles.

It is much smoother than ETW also.

Give it a go.

Hmm, I have that too. I bought them together tbh. The thing is, I got a new PC very recently and bought all the games I could not play on my very old machine. I was honestly expecting more of ETW but ok... at least it did not cost me a lot. Only like 10€ for both games and the bonus units, whatever those are =P

Unless ETW updates it self at some point you won't be able to use it for online play. But it should still work well for single player.

NTW on the other hand should be up to the online play for grand campaigns and whatever.

You might drop down to the Apothecary and ask down there if they know more about this problem.

I like the game a lot. I really enjoyed the war in Spain too.

Once in a while you miss the scope of ETW but the game play is much more polished.

I have spent more than 1000 hours on each of them. NTW is what ETW should have played like.

You should more than get your moneys worth from that one alone.

Hold on there. What EXACTLY does your version state?

Patch 1.6 is actually called v.1.5.0 build 1332.21992 due to a mistake of The Creative Assembly. If you have that version number on the main screen you are good to go.

i can play MP campaigns, but for that, you have to download the bèta version, that is available on the official total war website. www.totalwar.com/empire/beta that's where you should go to. you might have trouble downloading it, because of the SEGA pass down thing, but this is where i got it from.
