do allied factions fight by ur side in battle coz Kart-Hadastim as my ally wont join me in battle against a rebel town?

or if someone knows of a thread that explains can someone please give me a link?

Concerning your problem:
The team did not change anything in this department IIRC, so this is just plain RTW Vanilla behavior where multiple things had to be taken into account before an Ai-faction-controlled army engaged.
Did the Carthaginian army had sufficient movement points? Was it placed on an adjacent tile?

yer it ended up working when i reloaded the game i cant work out why it wasnt working
