A review.
10/10
First of all, thanks to Frags for getting me interested in this game. To quote Blagojevich "It's %*&#$# Golden!"
Here are the top 5 reasons I say that:
1. It features the coolest (and frankly the most attractive) girl in the entire video gaming world.
2. The humor in this game is over-the-top awesome and hilarious!
3. Despite this, it has some very deep...even philosophical moments.
4. The gameplay is as fun as heck.
5. The characters in it are all well developed and entertaining.

Also, it installs and runs fine on modern systems. I would highly recommend this game to anyone who likes shooters, appreciates good humor, or is just looking to try something new.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I almost forgot: Yes, yes, indeed, indeed. :P

Glad to hear you fired NOLF up and enjoyed it. A really fine example of game making at its best imho. They do not come along this good all that often, so it sure is fun to play'em when they do.

You look like you need a monkey!
I wouldn't want the dreadful thing if it were free!

I like very few FPS games, and the two games in this series are amongst my favourites. Great characters, great set pieces, good parody humour, excellent level design, varied gameplay ... the only thing I didn't find spot on was the stealth. It often felt a bit unreliable and clumsy after the two Thief games.

I wish they still made games like this. Fighting ninjas in flying houses or falling out of a plane without a parachute beat constipated realistic soldiers and brown-grim big-necked space marines any day of the week.

Shame there was never a third game. Never. :stare:

Street Merchant: You look like you need a monkey.
HARM Agent: Excuse me?
Street Merchant: I have a very fine monkey for you. Only twenty dollars, American.
HARM Agent: Sorry, I don't want a monkey.
Street Merchant: What do you mean?
HARM Agent: I don't want a monkey!
Street Merchant: Why not?
HARM Agent: Because I don't like monkeys, now get that filthy beast away from me!
Street Merchant: Are you insulting my monkey?
HARM Agent: I'm sure it's a perfectly excellent monkey, but I don't want it. Now please leave, I'm very busy.
Street Merchant: Ten dollars.
HARM Agent: No! I wouldn't want the dreadful thing even if it were free!
Street Merchant: Free? You want my children to starve?
HARM Agent: If they're hungry, I suggest you feed them the monkey.
Street Merchant: This is a valuable monkey! My wife would kill me if she knew I was offering it to you so cheap.
HARM Agent: You don't seem to understand, I DON'T WANT A MONKEY!
Street Merchant: Infidel.

This had me lolling, the idea of an evil henchmen taking evening classes in sociology, linking criminal behaviour to beer consumption is just too much https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q2PxxbJydBU

lol, this and the monkey one were my favorite conversations in the whole game. I love when video games get philosophical. :P

That game had a Santa's Workshop I still want to believe in.
