Been a while since I dropped a test to see what was up. Do you think Tosa, well, would even want the Backroom to exist? Is there a point? Is it just a place to express opinions or is it a tool to feed the ego? I'm torn...

Think hard, give me your inner thoughts and feelings. Existence...
Well good morning to you too!
I believe a person who demonstrated such self-effacing due diligence over so many years would very much dislike to perform the function of social arbiter in death just as much as he did in life.
If you want to make a point about the trends existing in this sub-forum, it might not be the worst idea you had and one may even agree with some of your implicit judgements, but personally I won’t develop this conversation in the shadow of TosaInu’s gravestone.

But I get your point. His memory does inspire the better side of most of us. Particularly the quiet moments of contemplation.

I can see what you mean, but:
Provided discussion is based around ideas/opinions with reasoned arguements it can be one of the most creative and interesting forums.
It pushes the limits of what is possible within the framework of the forums rules; the fact that it can be informative and educational is a testament to Tosa imho.
Bet he had other things to think about, bit creepy this

I don't understand why.

I agree on that. The .org's backroom is in fact the first forum in the internet I know, at which there is something like real debates about policy, no senseless spamming/flaming/trolling/whatever. It is a good place and I can only admire it's noble founder, though I have never known him.

I think Tosa would be, privately, disappointed that there are no profanities, implied or, especially, otherwise, in your post DD.
I know that you're the only person that has mentioned both my mother and teabagging in the same post that hasn't resulted in me embarking in a homicidal rage, ever, which is down to the comedy factor that is sorely missed but is, in part, taken up by MRD.
P.S. It was funny and was, obviously, absurd and seems to avoid the search thingy
