A great pity you cannot run S2.
Least you have RTW to fall back on. Make sure to check the EB modifications (https://forums.totalwar.org/vb/forumdisplay.php?70-Europa-Barbarorum) if the game proves a tad too stale after so many years.

i just recently downloaded the EB mod...
so many factions, dont know what to choose.. as a starter what faction can you advice to me..

Funnily enough, as one of the initial wonks of EB who worked with khelvan extensively on it for about two years, I never actually played it; or RTW for that matter.
Still, I would wager that the Romani would be a good pick to get the hang of it.
