Did I do it right?

Nope, getting home sober is a complete no no, a perfect debut would have involved no recollection of the journey home.

Or waking up in jail.

Why? Once you lose your inhibitions and are quite happy why drink more? It's only going to multiply your problems the next day.

The lifestyle with going out drinking isn't really for me but it was an experience.

Ah, but then you get told all about what happened the previous night, and it's completely new to you.

You consumed by all accounts a small childs worth of deleterious libations yes/no so how can you remember the wonderful details of this bacchanalian adventure. :book2:

Am I really the only one that switches to mineral-water after 2 glasses when going out

No? After a certain point I like to space out drinks with a glass of water. Water is awesome and leads to situations where it's socially acceptable to touch myself more.

Of course your not the only one I myself switch to mineral water after about 7 or 8 pints of Arthur.

Tis great craic spraying the mineral water over the lovely ladies in the t shirt competition.

idk its pretty weird, I really can remember everything I listed in the OP although some people had to fill in the details for me when we were going over the nights events.

But I wasn't thinking right at the time the way I acted. I think I must have got to the tipping point of going over to being really out of it. We worked out I had either 8 or 9 pints and I said I didn't want a drink at the last place (the nightclub) because I didn't want to break a £20. Apparently I just stood holding my head in my hands for half the time at that place, but then sobered up completely on the way home.

So a good solid Govan night out was had by all

Good idea. Always drink a bottle of water if coming home. Prevents hangover, mostly, unless you are so drunk that you forget about it but then next day will be terrible anyway. Drinking water while the party also prevents drinking too much, at least you are that kind of person (like me), who hates having plain coke/whatever you use for mixing, but always has to have a drink in his hand.

Hah, that nearly happened to me once, and I wasn't even drunk!

The tram was pretty busy, so I walked over to the other entrance, at which point I tripped over a batch of mayonnaise lying there (yeah, I know) and I crashed onto the side of platform, just managing not to fall underneath the train
