What in your experience are the required conditions for the post-battle landmark to appear? Here is my experience:

1. Win a large-scale battle, (almost) full-stacks on both sides.
2. Must be a field battle.
3. The enemy daimyo is killed.

And does the post-battle landmark increase clan fame (and reduces the provinces required for the Realm Divide)?

I have had a landmark from losing a battle as well..
In that instance it was and overwhelming army from Date that simply crushed my poor small garrison so I am not sure of the triggers..

The impact (if any) on fame etc is an interesting point as well...I will have to be more observant of this next time..

I've always noticed them following large battles where the outcome was either close/costly victory/defeat or heroic victory/crushing defeat.

I have seen them (only) in field battles where lots of men have died.

I can certainly remember cases where no daimyo died. Maybe the death of the taisho is enough?

Something that might interest you:

Getting a land mark increases clan fame!
And I measured the length of the yellow bar in pixels - one land mark gives +6 pixels. The full bar is 168 pixels.
Still studying the effect of each additional province on the bar...

How they appear.. I think it just does after a certain amount of people have been killed. In my current coop campaign, I was at war with Ikko for a while and they always have huge numbers in their army and all I could do was throw ashigarus their way or bribe some of their men to hold them off. The entire area north of Kyoto is littered with landmarks lol.

As I said in the RD trigger thread I got one for beating what IIRC was only a half stack of Oda rebels.

It was autoresolved, no daimyo was involved and while I killed the whole enemy army for very few or no casualties the kill count itself can't have been huge - I've destroyed multi-full stack enemy armies in siege defences and IIRC never got one for that.

I guess the game tries to balance the difficulty with clan fame. If you are good at battles and often achieve great kill ratios, you wouldn't mind triggering Realm Divide a little earlier. But of course, if you are good at battles, you can purposely avoid achieveing great kill ratios by purposely letting some escape, only to kill them in the next battle. :)

I have also never noticed any landmark erected after a castle assault where thousands of defenders are killed so that it should qualify for a landmark if it were a field battle. However, I am not sure whether clan fame is increased after those battles or not. Must pay some extra attention next time...

After following my Date clan's clan fame from province count 1 to 22, I can confidently say that in a domination campaign, each additional province incrases clan fame by 6-7 pixels. The effect of province is probably identical with a landmark.

Other usual suspects of clan fame increases are successful missions, legendary buildings, clan daimyo's honor, etc. Must take a look at those, too... :sweatdrop:
