Let's someone has a great grandmother
Let's the great gandmother was a German Jew
Let's say this fact was hidden from the rest of the very WASPy family.
Now let's say the couple had a child
A Girl
This Girl grew up and had a child
A Girl
This Girl had a child
A boy

Is this boy considered a jew due to being 1/16th Jewish but having been shot out of exclusively Jewish uterueses?

Will this allow the boy to complete 1 of 2 main goals in life (marry a nice Jewish girl, the other is dying of alcohol poisoing on a boat just after having fished something)

I think by any standards, the child is Jewish. So yes, he's a Jew.

Who's the lucky ex-Goy?

A Jew in the sense of being descended from Judah son of Israel?

Or a Jew as people use the term today, meaning a descendent from the Turco-Mongol Khazars?

Which is it? (http://www.orange-street-church.org/text/british-israel%20fact%20or%20fiction.htm)

David Cross has a good riff on this one. Can't find a YouTube, but he mimics an exchange between himself and rabbi, who keeps coming back to, "Yes, but was your mother's vagina Jewish?"

To accomplish goal #1, if you aren't already, you will probably need to get circumcised. ~D

One form of being Jewish is matriarchal. So by being of a line of females of Jewish descent would not make the boy 1/16 th Jewish but instead 100%

why on earth would you ever want to marry a Princess. do you even know any Jewish women?

I confess, I also have a thing for nice Jewish girls.

It's the nose, and the hyper-emotional tendacy towards hysterics. Fortunately, it appears to be genetic (well, the nose obviously) so you just need to find a nice Christian girl of Jewish descent.

Sadly, the last one got away.

According to Jewish tradition, if your mom was Jewish, or her mom and great grandma was Jewish, you are too.

If we are going by that definition it is possible that I could be considered to be Jewish since I know my Grandmother would have been considered Jewish by the Nazi's, (she is 1/8 Jewish based on what my mother told me,) had she been in Germany, but she was Australian, so she was far out their reach, so it is possible, but I most definitely do not fell Jewish and I doubt I look it either. I don't know if it was because my grandmother's mother was the daughter of the Jew or not, so I would claim any Jewishness in me.

Being Jewish is a religion, and a culture, and a matriarchal lineage race.

Like most things in our world it is a complex thing. I know an atheist Jew. His parents are Jewish, his dad fought in the six day war. He identifies cultural with Jewish traditions and work ethics. He however does. It believe in religion... Except when playing in our D&D group.
