Tommorow it will finally be availlable on PSN, I am really interested in this game. It's a post-apocalypse survival game, it sounds truly intriguing for a budget release (live and PSN how I love you for giving gaming back to gamers). Anyone played it? It has been availlable on the xbox for a while

I played the xbox demo and quite liked it. Need more points before I can buy it.

The climbing sections of the game aren't anything special. They are very Assassins Creed crossed with energy bars and extra button presses. The demo environment is a pretty standard destroyed city, not much room for exploration and there were not many things to find. That probably picks up once you get out of the opening sections. It looks like food and water will be quite important, as they refill your stamina gauge.

It's the combat which makes the game stand out. Enemies react to your gun in a realistic manner - just drawing it will cause most to freeze, put their hands up, and start looking for ways out. If you are out of bullets, this still works. Enemies are not psychic and will believe your threat unless you pull the trigger on an empty chamber. Bullets are precious and so the gun is best used to manoeuvre people into traps, or to hold them back long enough for you to flee. If you are not careful they will call your bluff and rush you. You do not last long in close combat! I can see this being a game where you begrudge every bullet you fire. It's nice to see a game where the object is thinking smarter, not shooting harder.

I watched my roommate playing the demo, and maybe this is just because I was able to sit back and watch without being immersed, but I couldn't help but notice a couple of detractors:

-There are invisible walls. In other words, in a city full of buildings they could have used to block access, they instead decide to slap down a giant magic wall out of nowhere to prevent progress in a direction.
-Combat seemed cool at first, but then all the realism was kind of shattered for me when three guys with machetes just stood around and waited to take on the player character one-by-one instead of circling and overwhelming him when he took a swing at one of them.
-Story seemed a little implausible/maybe it was just bad writing.

Apart from that, I would agree with froggy. I do hope they get rid of the invisible walls - if they did that I'd totally buy it. Something about that just ruins the aesthetic of the game for me.
