Reseting avatar's promotion?

Hi, I played FotS multiplayer a lot and today I promoted my avatar to silver. But in the warning window prior to the promotion there wasn't anything about losing skill points. So just when I finally got the Bombardment skill, which I was really looking for, I'm down to zero. :/ Any idea if it's possible for CA or SEGA to reset the promotion? I already contacted SEGA, what should I expect? Thank you guys.

I don't think so :), on the plus side you get 10 extra vets slots but you'll have to play through levelling again probably.
