Hey guys,

in RTW there was the preferences.txt where you could mod, for example, banners and stuff. However I couldn't find it in my M2TW build. Can anyone please tell me where to find it / the file for modding banners and the colour of your provinces in the tiny map?

In other words, how to change some basic preferences like map borders and banners?

M2TW doesn't have a single preferences file per se. By default it looks in medieval.preferences.cfg but it may also be launched with preferences specified on the commandline or by pointing it @ the right preferences file.

kingdoms.exe @custom.cfg --features.mod=my_mod

Incidentally, this is more or less what CA's Launcher program uses to load kingdoms campaigns / mods.

Hm, the only thing my medieval.preferences.cfg says is

[video]
widescreen=0
[game]
allusers=1

So no possibility to "mod" something the easy way?
