KoH (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knights_of_Honor_(video_game)) is a quite interesting strategy game. While playing it some time ago I thought that the game provides a good setting for a mafia game.

Rules

* 24 hour day/night phases. Phases may be extended if needed.
* You can contribute after death but can't reveal anything from me.
* You may NOT post your role PM or quote anything by me, however you may paraphrase.
* No screenshots, etc.
* You may NOT talk to players outside the thread.
* Voting is done using the Gameroom usual format (Vote: ATPG or Unvote: ATPG)
* "Abstain" and "No Lynch" are NOT allowed!
* All players have a role.
* Roles will be revealed after death.
* Each role have an ability that can only be used once during the game.
* The game starts with a Day phase.

The Kingdom is in a turmoil. As the King was attacked by an unknown person last night the members of the Royal Court come together to find the culprit. The evidences show that it must be one of them. Courtiers now have to find out the attacker. If this Rebel manage to kill off all the members in the Court there is no one who could stop him usurping the throne...

Day 1


Discussion in the Court had been fierce. Opinions changed after every few hours but in the end of the day two suspects emerged. Sir Visorslash and Sir rickinator9 had been accusing each other almost from the beginning. It was clear that old feuds had been dragged out of the closet. In the end one of them had to die. Since the Court was equally divided between the two it was decided to let the God judge over them and a duel was announced.
Both knights unsheathed their swords and a fierce but short fight was fought. In the end Sir rickinator9 came out as a winner after he had by a luck pierced Sir Visorslash's chest with his sword. Some of the courtiers sighed when they saw his body carried out.
"Hopefully we got that Rebel," some said to themselves as the people left the Great hall.

Night 1


As the night came, everybody went to their rooms for rest. Sir rickinator9 was tired of the duel and long hours of debate so once he got into bed he immediately fell a sleep. In midnight, cool breeze woke him up. Surprised to see his window open he got up from the bed walk to shut it down. Little did he noticed that a hooded figure emerged from behind the curtains and when Sir rickinator9 arrived to the window.. before he could realize he was pushed out of it.

In the morning the guards found his cold dead body..

After another long day of debate two suspects emerged. Votes, were tied between them for long. Until it was pointed out that someone else had been acting very strangely. Soon Sir BSmith found himself under rain of accusations. He tried to explain that he is not the guilty one but no one wanted to hear his words.
Finally guards grabbed him and executioner came with his mighty axe.
It ended quickly.. Sir BSmith's decapitated head rolled down the great hall..

Sir Arjos was checking some documents. Being captivated of their content he didn't notice when a hooded figure silently entered the room. Slowly the assassin moved closer and closer. Quick slice with a knife and Sir Arjos's head fell on the table.. throat cut..

Well, this is the first Mexican stand-off I've been in :beam:. Jarema has been acting a bit funnily, with the voting for a dead person being the most prominent example, but to be honest that's the sort of thing I often do myself by accident. Montmorency has been playing things safe to my mind, not really putting himself out there, but again it would be somewhat hypocritical of me to accuse him because of it. Overall I'm leaning towards Montmorency.

The last three knights gathered to the great hall. All of them suspected each other. After couple of votes were passed Jarema were called by the Bishop to confess his sins. When he returned the debate continued until the final vote was passed. Scribe counted the votes, cleared his throat and said..
"It seems Sir Montmorency have been found guilty!"
"Wait, it can't be!"
"But here are the votes.."

"I did not vote for myself! This is wrong!" yelled Montmorency.
"Enough of this.. Guards arrest him!" said Ishmael.
Montmorency tried to free him but it was useless. Executioner was called and he met the same faith as BSmith..
As the people left from the great hall only Jarema and Ishmael left there.
"So, it's finally over" said Jarema.
Ishmael smiled..
"Yes.. it is!" he said in the same time quickly pulling out his knife and stabbing Jarema in to his throat.
As Jarema's body fell to the floor Ishmael headed to the Royal chambers.. Now there were no one to stop him becoming the King..

Yay, my first victory as mafia in which I survived to the end!

Thanks everybody, I found this very enjoyable. I was sure you guys had me D2, I still can't believe I survived that. I had the ability to make a 'diversionary' kill one night in addition to my regular kill, which would automatically fail. I considered cooking up an elaborate pseudo-doctor roleclaim to make use of this, but in the end decided I was probably overthinking things :beam:.

Seven players were chosen only because there were 6 roles in the pc game and it was easy to create a mafia game around them.
However, I have never hosted a mafia game before so this was more like a test game. I have an idea for KoH mafia 2 and that will be bigger game.
