Hi guys,

There's no easy way to say this but after a lot of thought I have decided to step down from the post of moderator of my beloved Throne Room.

It is a difficult decision that I make reluctantly but given everything that is going on in my life I just can't find the time to devote to the community in the way that I used to be able to.

The Throne Room is a special place that deserves a committed moderator who can lead the community by starting and hosting games, working with the CM on Tales from the Throne Room and generally being an advocate for the style of hotseat gaming that you guys are into.

I feel like my inactivity is holding the place back - we tried a temporary solution with people filling in but games are still held up for several days at a time because people aren't sure who is responsible. For the sake of the Throne Room I need to step back and formally hand over to someone else - it looks as though the forum staff will appoint a new moderator to the forum soon and you guys will be notified who that is at the appropriate time. Until then I'll continue.

I'd like to say that I won't be leaving the Org or the Throne Room completely. This place has been a home from home for me since I moved continents six years ago and I have met people here that I am proud to call my friends.

I'll continue to play in the games I'm currently in but I'll be handing over the admin responsibilities to somebody else, probably the new moderator when they start.

When those games finish I'll likely take a break from hotseats for a while. In time I may be able to come back and contribute in the way I have been used to doing, but for the time being I need to concentrate on RL: my new daughter, the rest of my family, my job and my home renovation.

My time here has been a source of pride to me - I think this forum in general and the Throne Room in particular are special places and I thank all of you for making this a home for me on the internet and for sharing such memorable gaming experiences with me.

So, thanks for everything and see you soon!

I wish you happy days with your family.

It's weird not to have you here as a moderator.

You have been a great moderator, and I am sad to see that ending!

I won't say good bye because I hope that this need not be one. I shall value whatever time you are able to still spend here, and wish you all the best with real life and your new daughter in particular.

I would say it's too bad, but on the other hand it's kind of nice to see someone who's too busy being a responsible adult to spend time playing video games over the internet.:laugh4: Good luck phonics, hopefully you'll be able to come back every once and a while.

I haven't been here in a long time and the first news are read are news of your retirement... I know it is not an easy choice to make, I had to do it several months ago (and not with so many responsibilities hanging on me...)

Wish you the very of luck in the after-game life and I hope you'll keep dropping by from your "retirement" once in a while and get in touch

Take care of you and yours
