This is the first time since I first played Mount and Blade that I've been excited about a sword-fighting game.
That game is Clang; watch the video at the kickstarter and you'll know why.

(With special celebrity cameo!)
If this works out, it would be an unprecedented level of realism in video game swordfighting. The people are obviously very passionate about making a great game.

Certainly sounds very promising.
Although I would've liked had they given the sword for a lesser donation. 10 k is crazy steep.
Edit:
If the two handed longsword is 'queen' of weapons, then, which is the 'king'?

Sounds like a developer wanted to cash in on the Deadliest Warrior craze, forgot to include good pledge rewards, and the you need a 3rd party motion controller to actually play the game.

Do you know who Neal Stephenson is?
Anyway, they reached their target. A big post on how their approaching the technical problem of what happens when your sword hits something in the game but the controller you're using becomes disconnected from where the sword is in the game:

It's good to see it reached it's target. I want to see how they are going to solve the issues around motion controllers.

Awesome video, glad to hear they reached their target. This seems to be going on a more serious approach to sword fighting than your average Kinect or Wii device, where flailing is not all you need to be effective.
I cannot help but wonder how this would look with katanas, samurai and ninja fighting each other.
Neal Stephenson is a charming :daisy: . I wish him luck in solving the modern day problems of motion controls.
